YWCA is one of the few organisations dedicated to achieving real change for Australian women and girls and Sequel PR is proud of our role in assisting YWCA achieve its objective of a future where all women and girls are equal, safe and respected.



Working across the organisation’s key pillars of homelessness and housing, safety and wellbeing and leadership, Sequel developed a comprehensive PR strategy to help YWCA build its national profile with key stakeholders including government, highlight the systemic issues faced by women and girls in Australia and draw attention to the organisation’s core programs and advocacy work.


Examples include releasing the first YWCA National Housing Report which highlighted the extent of homelessness amongst women in regional Australia, securing national media coverage, securing a feature article on the new YWCA CEO in Q Weekend (The Sunday Mail) and placing several timely and relevant opinion pieces in major mastheads including The Courier Mail and The Australian Financial Review.
