Tim is a well known voice in Australian media and brings almost 30 years communications experience to Sequel PR.
He spent more than a quarter of a century in headphones, as a local and national broadcaster with the ABC, culminating with five years at ABC Brisbane and across Queensland. Before that, Tim presided over Statewide Mornings in Tasmania and has led coverage of issues as diverse as cyclone and bushfire emergencies, politics and social affairs.
Tim was the ABC’s Broadcaster of the Year in 2009, won the prestigious Keith Welsh Award for his outstanding contribution to journalism in Tasmania in 2011 and has collected numerous other awards for his work along the way. He was also News Editor for Grant Broadcasting’s network of stations across Tasmania.
Away from the microphone, Tim’s been a columnist and casual contributor for newspapers, magazines and online outlets; a pundit and commentator for TV; written copy for radio, print and direct mail; and been a proof reader and editor.
Tim’s a generous supporter of a wide range of community groups, charities and important causes. Over the decades, he’s donated time, energy and expertise to dozens of organisations, as well as running his own business as a public speaker, media and presentation trainer and MC.
