Sequel PR was engaged by RawGROUP to develop and implement a public relations plan leading up to and including the opening of its latest project, Madame Wu.
The chic new addition to Brisbane’s Riverside precinct includes a 200 seat restaurant with two private dining areas, a glass-encased cellar big enough to stock 150 different wines and a dedicated cocktail station to tempt the after-work crowd.
Public relations activities for the opening of Madame Wu gained significant print coverage in The Courier-Mail, bmag and Brisbane News; television coverage on Seven News; and online coverage which was also shared via social media sites on Must Do Brisbane, Visit Brisbane, The Urban List, The Weekend Edition, Style Magazines and Brisbane Business News.
Sequel successfully created a buzz around Brisbane about the opening by targeting social media food sites and bloggers.
By the end of the campaign, Madame Wu’s website recorded 19 times the amount of unique visitors compared to the beginning of the campaign.
