Melissa Watter (formerly Toomey) is a respected media identity who spent well over a decade in senior roles in metropolitan newspapers, radio and television (with both the Ten and Seven networks).
During her years in journalism, Melissa spent most of her time reporting on politics – local, State and Federal. She also, at various times, held key rounds such as health; business and finance; rural; and legal affairs.
Moving into the public relations arena in 2000, she has maintained a vast network of current media industry contacts and established relationships with key media decision-makers locally, nationally and internationally.
She has managed a number of challenging client briefs dealing with complex and controversial issues from business closures, to industrial relations disputes and high-profile legal cases. Melissa has also spearheaded national public awareness and education campaigns on subject including organ donation, skin cancer and recycling.
