Kathryn has been a media and communications professional for more than a decade, working as both a journalist and a Public Relations consultant.
She joined Sequel PR in 2008 and has provided strategic communications advice to a broad range of clients including transport and telecommunication companies, medical research groups, education bodies and charities.
She has devised and coordinated several highly successful national campaigns for well-known institutions such as AMA Queensland and Suncorp Bank and assisted in teaching numerous CEOs and Managing Directors how to improve their media performance.
Kathryn cut her teeth working as a radio news editor and programs presenter for ABC Radio in western parts of New South Wales and Queensland’s far north, covering high profile court cases, politics and sports.
She has an intimate knowledge of the 24/7 news cycle, the media’s expectations and what’s likely to get coverage.
During a few years in London, Kathryn plunged into the world of corporate social responsibility, working at investment bank Merrill Lynch. There she helped to coordinate many philanthropic programs and assisted with events including a visit by British Prime Minister Tony Blair.
