Barbara has been immersed in media and communications for more than two decades.
Her experience includes working for public and private news organisations, government, and non-profit groups.
Barbara spent many years behind and in front of a microphone – as a popular ABC television and radio reporter, presenter and producer.
Her expertise centres on multimedia story-telling; she has a deep understanding of media expectations, cycles and processes, and what makes a good story worth repeating or responding to.
Barbara has developed and managed a range of successful public relations and education campaigns including high-profile projects for RSL, AMA, Queensland Museum, Hilton, and Events Queensland.
She also enjoys the cut and thrust of issues management for several corporate clients and professional groups.
Ink flows strongly in her family tree – Barbara’s maternal grandfather was a newspaper reporter and her great, great grandfather was, in his day, the youngest editor on Fleet Street.
